The last, sixteenth issue of the “Partner.East” went through the report over the South Caucasus made by the European Commission. The front page of the newspaper outlined the report on Georgia over the implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy the Commission published on 12 May 2010. Second article on the first page of the newspaper dedicated to the Europe Day celebration 2010. Journalist has gone through the history of the Schuman declaration and described the ceremonies in Brussels and Tbilisi. The following article is a news type and it look into the Eastern partnership initiative and the upcoming Civil Society Forum. One article on the third page of the newspaper delves into the overall assessment of the 5 years of the European Neighbourhood Policy and the last piece of article was about the non-binding resolution which has been adopted by the European Parliament.

The opening article devoted to the visit of Štefan Füle, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy, who has briefed the outputs of his visit to Ukraine and South Caucasus countries.

The following article on the first page of the newspaper supplement has gone through the news about the “Covenant of Mayors”, wherein the Mayor of Tbilisi recently signed up.

Partner.East has once again touched upon the issue of Visa facilitation between the EU and Georgia. The European Commission has proposed the conclusion of visa facilitation and readmission agreements with Georgia.

The first article on the third page of the newspaper looked into the 2010 Lorenzo Natali Prize for development journalism which has been launched by the European Commission.

Another article on the third page of the supplement referred
to the call for proposals which is expected to be launched in the first semester of 2011 for the €2.5 million programme Supporting participation of Eastern European and Central Asian Cities.

The first article on the page delved into the air services agreement which has been recently signed between Georgia and the EU.

The last article of the newspaper devoted to the new programme which is designed to support cultural activities for the sustainable development of the rergions.

The layout of the supplement devoted to the visit of Štefan Füle, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy, who has been recently visiting Georgia and other Caucasus States. The second part of the front page has also been taken by Štefan Füle, who has recently revealed his vision about the EU-Georgia’s relations. On the second page of the newspaper supplement author presented the resolution which has been drafted by the members of the European Parliament and adopted by the Committee on Foreign Affairs. The Following article drew attention to the decision of The European Investment Bank (EIB), which lends EUR 80 million to the Republic of Georgia to finance the extension and upgrading of the country’s high voltage transmission network and its interconnection with the electricity grid in neighbouring Turkey. One of the articles discussed The EU-funded TRACECA Land Transport Safety and Security Project. The very last article on the third page of the supplement went through the 6 million Euro assistance made by the European Union. It is the first tranche and it will go to the support of professional education. On the last page of the newspaper, author discussed the Visa Code that went into force on April 5^th and went through the details of the Code.
